What started out as the Hammer 5.2 (the go to player's racquet in the Hammer line) has evolved through the H Tour, nTour and now into the KTour. This racquet comes complete with Wilson's K Factor technology. KFactor is all about increasing control - or [K]ontrol as Wilson puts it. There's no doubt the Wilson racquet engineers have done a good job here. This version of the Tour hits with increased stability, offers better ball feel off the stringbed and also offers improved comfort over previous versions. Some of the razor edge sharpness of the Hammer 5.2 and H Tour has been lost, but the feel is more solid with a definite improvement in comfort. Improved stability means there's plenty of control during attacking play, as well as when the player needs to defend against fast paced hitting. Offering a mobile feel, this racquet is an ideal choice for all court players and those who mix doubles and singles play. Easy access to fast swing speeds makes spin easily attainable and we found this one to feel very zippy through the contact zone. Our TW playtesters found some usable power when looking to close out points, yet there's not As is, this should be a must demo for 4.0+ level all court players. Stronger players will find plenty of room to add weight if more mass is required.
